Janet (Hoover Sell) Stover, 90, of Roaring Spring, was welcomed into her heavenly home on February 21, 2026. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and caring grandmother.
She was born in Martinsburg, a daughter of the late Jesse and Margaret (Steele) Hoover.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kenneth Stover; three children: daughter Trudy Sell Voigt and husband, John, of McKinney, Texas; son Jerre Sell and wife, Luann, of Pavia; and son Kerre Sell and wife, Suzette, of Osterburg; two stepchildren, Kris Stover of Pittsburgh and Lori Vantosky of New Jersey; and one sister, Maryella Alwine of Maryland.
She is also survived by four grandchildren: Troy, Jillian, Emily, and Luke; two great-grandchildren, Brodi and Chandra; two great-great-grandchildren, McCoy and Lane; four step-grandchildren, Kyle, Alexis, Micaela, and Shannon; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Janet was preceded in death by her brothers, Herb and Don; her sisters, Eileen and Kay; and her grandson, Chad.
In addition to being a longtime, enthusiastic homemaker, she enjoyed the outdoors, tending to her flowers, and family vacations to the beach with her devoted husband, children, and grandchildren.
Janet loved to bowl in state and city tournaments and was a waitress at Chilcoats for 20 years. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 1:00 until the 4:00 P.M. Funeral Service at the Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg, with Pastor Dave Shoenberger officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring.
